WISE-MD

 35 web-based surgery modules enhance the surgical education 

of medical students by focusing on topics typically taught within the surgical clerkship. The modules, which have video and animation, concentrate on surgical skills and conditions. WISE-MD, was developed through a joint effort of New York University Medical Center, the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the Association of Surgical Education (ASE).

6 virtual patient cases that contain foundational content about diagnosis, including the factors that contribute to diagnostic error and the strategies that can be used to avoid error. This course introduces students to the cognitive processes and system-related issues that can lead to errors.

A collaboration between Aquifer and the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM). Its development was funded through grants from AAIM and The Doctors Company Foundation
